I have this thing with travel. And dogs. And cats. And any animal for that matter. Which is why I am often taking a moment to paws and photograph animals I come across during my travels. There's just something about a zenned out, scruffy dog basking in the sun, surrounded by monks robed in crimson and gold in the courtyard of a monastery in the middle of Bhutan. How could I resist that photo-op? Trekking through the Himalayas in Bhutan was certainly a trip of a lifetime. What's your trip of a lifetime? Where are you going next?

Here's one from the archives. An etching from my printmaking days at Mount Holyoke College. Flowers for your loved one? Or maybe you're grandma? Mine sure did love this one as she had the original framed in her home for many years. You can purchase one here. September 13, 2019
This Summer, I did something big, reeeeaaaalllllly BIG.

Because of this (knowing I would be in the midst of motherhood by the time Open Studios rolled around), I decided not to participate in the tour this year. But, I was sweet talked into it—I signed up. Mostly because I wanted to host another community art event!
(By the way, her name is Vidilia Rose. And, I might be just a little bit biased...but, isn't she just the cutest?!? She's literally my greatest work of art, EVER!)
That's the theme for this year's community art event, which is inspired by the embryo that became my daughter. I believe we're all born with an innate ability to love and to be kind to one another. It's sketched into our DNA.
Let's come together as a community to create something beautiful.
Here's what you need to know:
Grab a Sac Open Studios guide or search the google map for my East Sac studio, #203 (Weekend 2). Located right near Compton’s Market on McKinley & Meister Way.
Hope to see you there!
Sign up to receive my once in a blue moon newsletter and be the first to know of new work and offerings.
