2020 Commissions are closed
2020 commissions are now closed and I am booking for 2021. Can't wait to share my current projects with you. I have so much gratitude for my clients who entrust me to turn blobs of paint into portraits of their animal friends. Like this painting of Casper, who was the clinic cat at Laurelhurst Vet Hospital in Portland, Oregon. He was one of my first few commissions when Dr. Ross at #vcalaurelhurst took a chance on me, saying that if she liked how Casper's portrait turned out, she would commission me to do six more. So — I gave my two weeks notice at my day job just in case she liked it. And lucky for me, she did, and I was hired to paint six of their clients' beloved animal friends. These seven originals are on display in their lobby and were unveiled at their grand opening after their remodel. Their clients had no idea their animal was selected as a subject for a portrait. Seeing their faces of joy and tears is a day I will never forget. Can't believe that was 16 years ago!
