the portrait that started it all

the portrait that started it all

So much could be said about my parents' dog, Garbo. Clever, soulful, and sweet, simply put, Garbo was the Best. Dog. Ever. She grew up going for walks in San Francisco and was a role model for the other dogs in how to be a well-behaved dog. In a short amount of time, she nestled her way into my heart. After graduating from college I decided to paint Garbo's portrait and give it to my mom for Christmas. Garbo passed away about six months later, yet her portrait remained above the fireplace, greeting my parents day and night. She was deeply loved and is just as equally, missed.
