December 01, 2012

Archival Frame in Sacramento, CA will be celebrating the 25th "Small Treasures" exhibition. Nikki will be a part of this year's show, featuring this painting of Mizano, a mountain gorilla killed by an antelope poacher last year in Uganda. Poaching continues to be a huge threat to the remaining mountain gorillas within Africa. Click here to read more about Mizano and the arrest of his killers. For more information about mountain gorillas and their conservation visit the International Gorilla Conservation Programme. Mizano's original portrait will be for sale along with artwork by other Sacramento area artists. The show starts on December 5, 2012 and runs through December 24, 2012. Artists' Reception: "Second Saturday" Dec. 8, from 6 to 9 p.m. Visit Archival Frame for more information.
