Sun Legs was inspired by the beams of autumn light outside my studio door, radiating from the sun and piercing through an opening in the trees. A constant source of inspiration.

Original painting inspired by the busy streets of Kathmandu as seen from a second story cafe window on the evening of my 32nd birthday. My head is still in the clouds when I think about the time I turned 32 in Kathmandu. There are many reasons why my trip to South East Asia was so memorable; the main one being proposed to on the steps of the Bangkok post office. (I said Yes!)❣️ Returning home, I was filled with inspiration, magic, and a deeper appreciation for human kindness and our interconnectedness.

This was an assignment for my figure drawing class at Mt. Holyoke College. I remember working on it junior year, in the hallway of the 3rd floor of my dorm, as that was the only place the big sheet of butcher paper would fit. My grandmother fell in love with this piece and proudly displayed it in the loft of her master bedroom. I inherited my drawing back from her when she moved and have since had it scanned and professionally framed, and it is in her honor that I add it to my collection of limited editions.
