This painting was part of an eight piece series I did for the Sacramento SPCA in 2008. The series was called “Whisker Wonderland” and featured four cats and four dogs, who were the proud owners of four staff members and four volunteers of the Sacramento SPCA. All eight paintings zoomed in on whiskers! Who doesn’t love cat and dog whiskers? The series was auctioned off at the SPCA’s annual Reigning Cats and Dogs Gala and raised over $11,000 for the shelter animals.
